The Twin Disc Milwaukee Office is located in the historic third ward, near the Milwaukee River, within the 8,000 SF tenant suite of the iconic 222 Erie building—a heavy-timber, cream city brick structure. This historical backdrop complements the modern industrial aesthetic of the project and serves as a fitting canvas for Twin Disk to showcase its company history. The office layout strategically maximizes natural light and panoramic views, utilizing existing large skylights and introducing new ones. The design includes an open, flexible workspace fostering collaboration and enthusiasm. Overcoming the challenge of achieving acoustical performance with an exposed ceiling, the space incorporates spiral ductwork and ceiling clouds, preserving the building's character. Additional amenities comprise a sound isolation booth, a skylit work café, and showers for employees who commute by bike or utilize the fitness center within the building.
