Plans Unveiled for New Ten Mile Park Off Oak Leaf Trail in Brown Deer
Brown Deer is planning a $2.5 million Ten Mile Park featuring a nature play area, multisport court, skate plaza, cycling track, and public restroom. The park, adjacent to the Oak Leaf Trail, is named after the Ten Mile Post Office, a historic marker. Planning began in 2018, initially focusing on a restroom but expanded into a community destination. Surveys identified a skate park and other amenities as popular choices.Construction bids are set for March, with a planned summer 2024 completion, making it Brown Deer's fourth park.
